Lace Up: Spring Is In The Air?

As I type this, we’re in the midst of a mini-snow storm in upstate NY. Nothing major, yet nothing to smile about either, being it’s April 4th, and we’re dying to get some sneaker boxes open for the nice weather. Not a ton of recent pickups, but there’s a few here worth mentioning as we gear up for spring.

Asics x Ronnie Fieg- Rose Gold: I missed these when they dropped a while back and was hyped to recently find a great deal on a gently worn pair. Shout out to DJ Johnny Gunz on the Jersey assist.  Gorgeous shoe executed perfectly by Fieg and the team at Kith NYC. I’m still looking for the Sage’s, size 10.5, so let me know…

Adidas NMD- Grey/Onyx: Boost technology will change your sneaker experience. Time to believe the hype. These are every day game-changers. Go down a half-size (I like them snug), and be prepared to toss most of your collection for these in multiple colors.  Comfort on comfort on comfort.

Adidas x Yeezy Boost 350- Pirate Black: Found a good deal, pulled the trigger, not mad at all. Hate all you want and of course there’s plenty of hype around these, but for good reason. You won’t find more a comfortable experience than Boost technology. Shout out to NASA for the foam. Be careful if you’re looking to grab these off ebay. The fakes look nearly identical to the authentic pairs.

Alife x Saucony- Jazz ’91: I refuse to front. I ordered these last night ($90 via Alife and limited to 300 pairs) because I’m headed to Citi Field to watch the Mets embarrass the Phillies next weekend. Dope shoe, classic colorway, can’t beat the price and comfort.

Not a ton of new pairs to show off as we move towards the spring. I’m actually thinning out my collection because I have more pairs than I will ever wear. Everything I have is 10.5 or 11, feel free to comment or email me if you’re interested in a list of what I’m letting go. Happy April, and remember to rock what you like.
